Happy Nollaig na mBan everyone.
unii - Poet from the northern sea
Really lovely pop-drone from Japan. See the pic above for a hint of this joyous combination of styles. Lovely.
Wakesleep + Datavis present BassTechCustom™ CORE GENESIS
More gorgeous foggy ambient drone. Two lengthy pieces, the latter of which is broken up into smaller segments.
Hydrangea - Escape From Reality
This was written as a response to the death of the artist's sister. It's a beautiful collection of dubby ambient and techno sounds, but titles like 'Going And Coming Back', 'Door Of Happiness' and 'Beyond The Unknown Horizon' give it that extra pathos.
John Swing - Assorted Moods
Out to Timmy Chunks for spotting this one. A huge collection of sumptuous house cuts, I've not even been able to get through it all. The title is perfect.
Matt Christensen - Fund One Woman's Journey To The Women's March On Washington. January 21st, 2017, Washington, DC
This release from Matt Christensen, of Zelienople fame, is raising money to send a young woman to Washington for the march that will take place on Jan 21, the day after the inauguration of the 45th President of the US. It's a really beautiful set of jams, kind of like folk dance music almost. It will be deleted the day before the march too.

TUTU // LOOPINGS - Opus 1
New mix from Barcelona's TUTU. It starts with some ambient wash before pummelling down the path of techno into broken club extractions. It goes off in a few directions in fact, ending up with some pointilistic trance.
Pechen Lag - The Barely Perceptible Cresting Of A Wave Of Shards Of Broken Glass
Pechen Lag featured recently on a Drvg Cvltvre-helmed comp that raised money for Syria, with a searing techno banger. This track is a twisted beatless synth jam that I couldn't help but listen to on repeat this morning.
lil cuddle mix - dj freez + sleepy g
Thank you Taylor Trostle for alerting me to this one. The name along grabbed me first, to be honest, but this mix from DJ freez + sleepy g is a warm hug of a mix. It's a bouncy flavourful dip into breezy house, awash with synths, dubby bass and melancholy pianos.
Newtype Rhythms: Episode 2 - 12/25/16 (Live on Newtown Radio)
Sheepshead aka Mitch Strashnov dug into some non-club music for his latest show on Newtown Radio. Like the mix above, it's balm for a tired soul.
Kehrschleife - Du Bist Glucklich?
Apparently Kehrschleife is the alias of Wolfgang Tilner-Barlow, who was part of the German Neue Deutsche Welle scene. Some of his old music was found in a flea market in Berlin a few years ago by Allan Murphy (The Polymer Cities, Midwich Youth Club etc). He's cleaned them up and released a full album, and just shared this short jam. More detailed info can be found here.
Claire Guerin - CorrugatedLionHeadshave
"shruti box and corrugated metal funtimes." What more can I say?
Radio on Sunday! Tune in! 8pm GMT.
