Hi all. Bit sick today and also my son isn't well so I've not been focusing on music. That said, here's some stuff for you all.
Bridget Hayden - Incantations From Yin Valley
Weird murky noise from Fort Evil Fruit, who have a bunch of stuff out this week.
nothing natural - hivemind
nothing natural - skin2skin
nothing natural is a producer based in Wisconsin. She released a cool track called 'Scorched' that I played on DDR a while back, and here are two more tracks she's put on Bandcamp. The first is a strange and chilling fog of noise, weird vocal samples and hiss. The second is bit a more melodic, albeit simply and gently so. Melancholy for days.
Zwei Kreise - Panorama Island (QR004)
This is described as a mix of ambient, IDM and experimentation. I get the IDM vibes (much as I hate that descriptor) - 'Vanth', for example, really feels like the shuffling hip-hop of Boards of Canada. The ambient tracks speak for themselves. I played a segment of the 'Dies Irae'-esque 'Inexorable' on Sunday night. Great album overall.
frere tuck - tutorial woods
Lovely beautiful and playful album here, full of wide-eyed wonder and hope. Short vignettes of simple melodies and pulsing drones. Thanks to videogamemusic for the tip.

XOSAR - A HEART ENCIRCLED BY A SERPENT
I'll always share new Xosar. Great artist, great titles, great art, great music. This is 13 minutes of swirling noise, dungeon techno, nightmare trance. It's amazing.
Jasmine Guffond - Post Human
This is a striking piece of work from Australian artist Jasmine Guffond, who's previously released as Jasmina Maschina. It's forthcoming on Sonic Pieces, a label that releases its music "in genuine packaging, hand-crafted with locally produced and designed material". While that's cool as a concept, the music stands up and matches that approach, unsettling passages growing and colliding to great effect.
STRICT FACE - RE-STRICTS MMXVII
Strict Face drops some welcome edits. One is of Drag Race finalist Shea Couleé's 'Cocky', already a banger in itself. The latter is of Miz's 'Grip & Ride', and both benefit from Stricty's melodic flavour.
earthborn visions - experimental the fault is in ourselves - cut & paste remix
Another Disquiet entry here. This one features repeated old-style news anchor speech and undulating drones. Haunting stuff that's also fulfilling and satisfying.
Nautiluss - Crimson
Nautiluss recently announced a record as Pyramid Lake, but also shared this dark groover as he feels can't get music out fast enough.
K15 & Kuniyuki - Moving Minds (K15 Remix)
I love K15's jazzy and fluid approach to house music. This remix he did of a track made with Japanese producer Kuniyuki Takahashi is just sublime.
Hope you enjoy some or all of this. Did you catch the show on Sunday? I was incredibly happy with it. It's currently 90th in the ambient chart! Nowhere near the trance chart, which is filled out with shows that get thousands upon thousands of plays...
