Hello readers. I've got a new job, so Bandcloud will be coming at a new time. Unless I get everything in order by Thursday nights, we'll see.
VA - Nin-imensional space (playreclabel)
Wonderful comp from a Chinese label that features nine artists making strange sounds. Word of warning, one track ('Locker Room Improv') features a repeated Trump sample.
The Hydra- Studio Time
Did you catch this release from Jay Glass Dubs? It features two sides of long-form noise experiments, noises and ghosts of melody ebbing and flowing in perpetuity.
The Abstract Eye - Cool Warm Divine EP
The Abstract Eye aka Gabriel Reyes-Whittaker is behind this singular release of crisp electro- and acid-tinged house. It's originally from 2011 but got a repress from Rush Hour. Appropriate, as it's positively timeless.
Charles Manier - Luxus Steroid Abamita
Detroit's Charles Manier recently released his third album under this name (he also goes by Dabrye, JTC and Tadd Mullinix, which seems to be his real name, but who can be sure). It's a heady, dank trip through strange loops and mangled vocals, EBM vibes and turgid, chugging grooves. Slightly unnerving but eminently dance-floor friendly too.

The Trilogy Tapes - No, It's Not That
Utterly brilliant piece shared by TTT this week. Undulating noise flipped and reversed. Heavenly sounds for a delicate Thursday morning.
Sure Thing Mix 45: Aos
Seattle DJ Aos fires through an hour of thrilling chiaroscuro techno.
bodyflyp - honeälome
Nice and weird hip-hop track from this interesting Russian producer.
Ivy Barkakati - ...
This is a truly beautiful track from Barcelona-based Barkakati.
Kilamanzego - whirlwind
Kilamanzego is a Philadelphia-based producer with the best artist name I've heard in a while. This is a super track off a compilation from Night Swim Records and it features what she calls "my usual wacky percussion and african vocal chants".
Bit short, this entry. We'll work on it. I'm DJing at a festival in Dublin next week!
