Sincerest apologies for my tardiness. Much late. Very contrition. Didn't Wonja do a great job last week? Seriously. Awesome work.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No. Inc. - Early Reflections
Seven lengthy ambient jams from Atom TM and Material Object. Not much else to say, really? One RA commenter, in response to the news that this album was happening, said: "Wow.. Thank GOD this is happening.. (When I say "God" I mean Uwe Schmidt [Material Object], of course! ;)"

Antenna - Odessa EP
EBM-influenced techno, think seriously melancholic vocals under crisply robotic beats. Slightly moody synth work too. The title track is my pick.

She Dreamt She Was Alone In An Empty Field (I Will Be Okay) - À Bout De Souffle
This is wanky as hell but allow it. Post-rock fiddling about interlaced with a load of dialogue from Breathless. Ça c'est bien les idées des garçons. So true hun. There's a blast of guitar about nine minutes in, which came as a shock.

William Selman - Equatorial Night
Soft and noodly percussion and sounds. Twelve and 13-minute pieces respectively, it's quite a trip of scuzzy fx and gently tapped rhythms. Lay back in the shack, play this track.

Giganta - JAXA ft Hatsune Miku
I'm not sure what this is - it seems to be on a huge compilation of tracks featuring Hatsune Miku, "a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media". Read all about it here. This is from Greek producer Giganta, and features on the "Wierd [sic] Whole New World" section of the comp. Electro J-pop or something. "Wierd" but great. Fits with me being in Japan last week too eh?

Palms Trax - Forever
This is so great - starts off tough and abrasive before moving towards the "lush" sounds Palms Trax is so good at. That wistfully repeated "forever..." line is so heartbreaking. Think this is even better than its Galcher remix. But check out 'Lost Control' - gorgeous trance.

DJ Haus ft Matrixxman - Feel It
FREE wideboy bassline track from DJ Haus and Matrixxman. Friday BANGER.

Max D - High Life /// Max D - High Life (Willie Burns Remix)
Speaking of Haus, peep this release from Max D, with a remix from Willie Burns. Frippering synth lines over cut-up jungle breaks, Willie takes those lines and layers them up, muffles the breaks and just makes it all a bit more dreamy. Dope on both counts.

CGIMIX vol 4.0 - MTZ - "Without Makeup"
KILLER mix from MTZ, which moves from cinematic soundscapes to muscular house and sleazy Chicago electro.

Quiltland - 1 Second Sun 1 Hour of Light
It's no secret I love Astro:Dynamics (finally wrote about these EPs Luke, much love), so I can't wait to hear the new release. This is a great opening gambit, hushed, Chromatics-like vocals and emotive synth lines and leads. GREAT artwork too.

DJ Guy - BX90 Tape Side A Trk 4 (Community Corporation Bootleg Edit)
A bonus track from the upcoming release CARDIFF-born DJ Guy on Crisis Urbana, an edit by Community Corporation. Tuff enuff.

Dummy Mix 211 // Maria Minerva
Maria Minerva's Dummy mix is a bit weird. Abstract experimentation, affected repeated sampling and some dancefloor jams. Bit of everything.

LV & Joshua Idehen - Imminent (SertOne Spacedub)
There's a remix competition at the moment for LV & Joshua Idehen's Imminent, and this is my friend SertOne's effort. Dare I say it, it's.... dubstep? It's grimey but it's got that dubstep half time thing. Either way, do you pal.

LV & Josh Idehen - Imminent (Demonic Glare Vexed Dub Live)
And on another tip entirely, Demonic Glare goes full techno workout jam. RAW.

CFCF :: Transcend (Huerco S. Temple Remix)
Huerco S. takes the preset chorus of CFCF's 'Transcend' and adds some flutes and 'Lujon'-esque mumblings. It's remarkably restrained by his standards.

Photonz - Pilgrim
Photonz is known for crunchy techno tracks, and this is up that street, but with added Iberian instrumentation. A delicately balanced feat.

----------------------------------------

OKAYYYYY. Sorry for making you wait till now, but like Kweli's choir sang, I got my reasons. I'll be better in future.

All the best,

Aidan
