Cause you know I bring heat like June and July. I was only kidding about the American theme.

New Forest - Distant Realities
The blurb describes this release's "beauty in decay" /// "subtle textural arenas" /// "granular hiss" /// "static bog" /// "psycho-topographic maps of the caves in the minds [sic] eye". If that's not enticing enough for you, well why are you on this mailing list exactly?

Justin Wiggan & Francesco De Gallo - Tones To Disappear To
Loath as I am to recommend something with a title that ends with a preposition (artistic licence notwithstanding), this is very good, and appropriately titled. Woozy tones and chunky noises abound.

Strange Mountain - Ancient Eyes
Beatless instrumentals, yet exciting and energetic in spots, not just all fog and haze. And yet it's that too.

Chynna - Selfie
This appeared a year ago?! I just discovered Chynna the other day, reading an interview with Kathy Iandoli. This track is really great - she spits over an old Easy Moe Bee beat, and keeps spitting. And she's got a track called Glen Coco! https://soundcloud.com/chynnarogers/glencoco Damn. http://i-d.vice.com/en_gb/read/interviews/3453/modelling-escaping-the-military-and-making-music-with-chynna

VA - DBA015.5
Dopeness from Don't Be Afraid. An acid chugger, lustrous organs, sax-laden house and a vibey flute piece. In short.

Lucrecia Dalt (ES)- Dizzygy: An Alternate Sonic Experience to Syzygy
Brilliantly weird, this is a 20-minute piece that Lucrecia Dalt made as a response to her own work, last year's Syzygy album. Get lost inside of it. Would love a DL though.

Fatima Al Qadiri - Star-Spangled
Okay there is one US song here. FAQ takes the US anthem and Al Qadiris it. Haunting. If I hadn't heard this for the first time while fully sober I don't know what might have happened me. Stunning.

State Of Flux - Someone New (1994)
Out to Bake for this one. Similar vein as DJ Guy. Yeah finding stuff from the mid-90s that's better than what's out now and allowing it to resurface has been done and all that but this is actually very good.

VVV - Sky City
Vibes. Spotted by Becca Sawyer. Cheers Becca!

Spare - Next Amazon
World Cup vibes! Garage and grime meet Brazilian samba feelings and whistles and that. Pt II is my jam.

D. Hansen - Fountain In A Foyer
Wonderfully dreadful (literally) ambient on the Where To Now? label. The title and artwork for this release are just sublime. No samples, all real, recorded in a variety of rooms.

Anthony Naples – Zipacón
Irresistibly groovy house from yung Anthony on TTT. The first two are sensuous grooves, the third seems lovely and dainty but the kicks have real crunch.

Mumdance - Solid Steel Radio Show 20/6/2014 Part 3 + 4
Weightlessness in mix form. I didn't recognise any of this bar Derrick May and The Cure, it's a really great listen and a bunch of "new" stuff too.

Frankie Grimes - Pogo Radio X TXFM [21/06/14]
Frankie did a mix for Pogo Radio. An hour of house new and old.

ME - Sadsack Summer
Yeah that's right, me. I made a mix of tracks that really evoke the overwhelming mugginess of long summer days and nights, the oppressive heat and sweat and discomfort. A few rap tracks that sum up different aspects of life - boredom (Common), nostalgia (Nas) and inner conflict (2Pac). And tried to end on a note triumphant (Mssingno) and dour (Cicciolina Holocaust).

Pool Full of Truants (mixed by Stephanie Neptune)
But if you'd rather something joyful and uplifting, check out the latest Truants crew mix, Pool Full of Truants, mixed by Stephanie Neptune.

But happy independence day all the same.

All the best,

Aidan
