Hello friends. There are a few new people in the ranks (I see you). It's late November, which means a few things. Christmas. Year end. Bandcloud's first birthday. I can tell you now that there will not be a Bandcloud best of 2k14. So you can rest easy on that front.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

glia - ZR
Only two tracks here, the rest will be available in a few weeks, but 'q i s h r' is remarkable in its lilting stillness.

Body In The Thames - Motor/Muscle/Movement
Despite the ominous moniker, BITT makes energetic disco-infused dance music. The title track is jangly and fun, while Jones Terrace is quite pneumatic, it starts off with nostalgic sounds but moves into insistent territories before going down bizarre wormholes. There's also a synaptic version of MMM that's all beeps and hiss.

Practically Begging - This Is All I Have Left
Full disclosure: this caught my eye because of its artwork. It's not your standard BC fare but sure where's the harm in that. It's a bit like Julee Cruise meets Hope Sandoval.

Default (Phases) - Default 0005
Some weird electronic skittering oddness. Something something Nord modular patches, I don't really know. Sounds cool though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cat Sounds - Episode One
Louis (Wanda Group) and Maya present this new podcast, noise and drone and that. Gonna be every Tuesday.

Steffi | Power Of Anonymity
Bet ya didn't expect to see this in here. This isn't breaking the mould, but it's a solid collection of smooth electro-tinged techno.

Detroit Edison - The Price Is Right
Someone's only gone and put together a 100% Holmes Price mix! This will certainly be an antidote to any weird and dreadful noise and drone.

BIS Radio Show #756 with Joy Orbison & Ben UFO
Shouldn't really need to introduce this. Ben UFO plays on radio every week yet he still impresses on every listen. And Joy O plays a Morgan Buckley track. All good.

Barnt - Magazine 13
This is an XLR8R stream but it's worth it. Barnt follows the rather excellent His Name EP on Hinge Finger with this album for his own Magazine label. Ignore the bizarre track titles and just dive in, 'Cherry Red' and 'All the alts I'mm holding are hurting' are jams, and there are some gorgeous hazy interludes in there too. Tip!

DLVRY - Keysound Rinse FM guest mix
Johnny Bev aka DLRVY dlvrs (geddit) this short guest mix for Dusk + Blackdown's special Rinse show to tie in with the new Certified Connections compilation. Sinister grim bangers. Check out E.M.M.A.'s mix too.

Ellll - Bones \ (Edit)
Last night I went to see Tim Hecker and Ellll was on support. I'd never heard of her, but I'm told she's the go-to support slot for anyone remotely dark in Cork. She's also supported Carter Tutti Void in London so she's hardly a newcomer. Anyway I'm fairly certain she played this track last night, her set was like a thick cloud of darkness out of which she mined occasionally stomping techno beats. This track is also emblematic of her intriguing approach.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I leave you with the news that there is something special in the work. I won't say any more than that, but I'm pretty excited.

All the best,

Aidan
