This is the first Bandcloud blog post. I started Bandcloud because I felt it was more interesting to share music with people who wanted it than just putting something out into the void of the web. The problem with the mail is that by its nature it is exclusionary. There's only so much room, no matter how much stuff I cram in there will always be a limit. So this is one way to talk about other things. I've tried over the years to post things on Tumblr, from monthly album reviews to quarterly lists of what's gone in. Life (and laziness) always gets in the way. Hopefully this will be a place for me to share some thoughts outside of the mail but still in keeping with the spirit of the overall project.
If this is your first time here, Bandcloud is a weekly mailout that features links to music that can be found on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. It’s been running since January 2014. You can sign up at bit.ly/bandcloud.
If you’re wondering about the relevance of the above image, it’s the train station where I start my days, listening to a lot of the music that ends up in your mails.
