While last month's mix was, put simply, a riot, this one is a much more laidback affair. Last year I shared an exclusive from Oxtail Recordings, purveyors of "Ambient noise and broken songs". It was a split release from Leaaves and Opaline. The former, who trades in heart-rending ambient with exquisite titles, is behind this month's guest mix. That Oxtail tag just about sums it up. It's more mixtape than mix, shuffling back and forth between glistening electronica, dusty hip-hop grooves, mournful post-rock and shiny digital pop, finally concluding with some #rare Boards of Canada.
