Something something grand old stretch. Almost three months deep, I feel this needs some sort of boost. Maybe a guest curation? Or a free giveaway? I'll mull this one over and we'll see what happens.

Raphael Attar - World's Greatest Everything
Hilarious rap work from Paper Tiger's frontman Raphael Attar. There's a track about the latest Hobbit film that's utterly brilliant. And he went to the zoo too. Gas stuff.
Klara Lewis - Ett
I only discovered Klara Lewis recently, this album on Editions Mego builds from a three-track EP she put out a few years ago. It's nice weird gloopy ambient-meets-field-recording stuff. Bandcloud heaven.
Route 8 - Dry Thoughts EP
I think I first came across Lobster Theremin with the wonderful Palms Trax EP last year. This one is similarly lush and vibey, with tropical beats and hazey pads and steel drums that remind me of Primal Scream's 'Come Together', of all things.
Teishi-1 - Solstice
My man Teishi-1 makes crushing hip-hop beats. His stuff is usually very percussive, but this is much more melodic than his previous work and, dare I say it, all the better for it.
Norwell & S Olbricht - Untitled
This is utterly brilliant, I listened to it last night as I was assembling an IKEA shelving unit. It's somewhere between Boards of Canada and The House in The Woods (aka Pye Corner Audio) but not derivative. It's got some good remixes too, notably from The Cyclist and Dublin weirdo (in Rathmines) M Buckley.

WIFE - Heart Is A Far Light
I never listened to Altar of Plagues, so I first discovered Jerry O'Connell lookalike James Kelly in his present incarnation. His first release was on left_blank, one of my favourite labels, so I was always going to pay attention. Now he's moved on to Tri Angle, and this track is the first from his forthcoming album. It's got his heartfelt vocals, an electronic thump and a suitably emotive title.
Plastic Platform [C66]: Avalon Emerson
I tweeted about this but it's great and worth sharing again. Avalon Emerson is really getting a lot of traction lately but it's well deserved. This is a wonderfully fun mix for great weekend party times. Her new one, Church of Soma, is a treat, and she ends this with HNNY's take. FUN. Bear in mind, if you want to download this it's a 1.1gb file - Av likes her sound quality.
Drew Gragg - Over-Under EP
Nicolas Jaar's Other People present this release from Drew Gragg, "one of Montreal's best kept secret" (sic) as he is described in a recent RA listing. It's a deep EP (take from that what you will). Soft pianos, gentle toms, hazy fuzzy synths and occasional utterances. Jaar-esque, one might say. You can get a free download of 'Metroplex Theme' at XLR8R.
Throwing Shade - Sweet Tooth
This sounded glorious in the sunshine this morning - like an offbeat counterpoint to the Route 8 EP above. Throwing Shade is a producer and a DJ on NTS. She's got a new EP out next month, this just dropped today. Sultry, poetic vocals from Emily Bee.
Dauwd - Lydia
Dauwd can be hit or miss with me, and I can't say I like the other tracks on this EP. 'Lydia', though, is sublime and I've had it on repeat all week. I even went and bought it on Beatport. BEATPORT I tell you.
Little Cloud - Don't Let Me Go
I don't know who this or why or how I'm following her, but there you go. It's daycent. Guitar, mournful vocals, clanking synths. Not entirely unlike e+e from a few weeks back.

Enjoy Holy Week, if that's your thing.
All the best,
Aidan
