Hello. Really excited and enlivened lately. Music is good.
Tectorum Tapes - Vol. One
New Californian label Tectorum Tapes kicks off with this collaborative release. It seems to be going for a mythical, mystical approach, which is cool if you're into that. The music is foggy and haunting, and I'm definitely into that.
A. Latif - Sun
No idea who this is, and I've tried and tried to find out. Woozy electronics (there's a lot of that this week), some beats, some weirdness. Gloopy.
Mary Lattimore Folkadelphia Session 0//016
I've shared Mary's work more than a few times, but this is a live set and it's free. Gorgeous free-flowing harp music, transcendental almost.
Sun Curves - Nearly Real
Utterly gorgeous ambient from Sun Curves. No, it's no reinventing the gloopy wheel of drifting sounds, but it's languid, drifting music that is great for whiling away the time. "a gradual decrease of distance," it reads. How lovely.
