Hello. Really excited and enlivened lately. Music is good.

Tectorum Tapes - Vol. One
New Californian label Tectorum Tapes kicks off with this collaborative release. It seems to be going for a mythical, mystical approach, which is cool if you're into that. The music is foggy and haunting, and I'm definitely into that.

A. Latif - Sun
No idea who this is, and I've tried and tried to find out. Woozy electronics (there's a lot of that this week), some beats, some weirdness. Gloopy.

Mary Lattimore Folkadelphia Session 0//016
I've shared Mary's work more than a few times, but this is a live set and it's free. Gorgeous free-flowing harp music, transcendental almost.

Sun Curves - Nearly Real
Utterly gorgeous ambient from Sun Curves. No, it's no reinventing the gloopy wheel of drifting sounds, but it's languid, drifting music that is great for whiling away the time. "a gradual decrease of distance," it reads. How lovely.

SoundCloud Playlist

joanne - WMT [live]
This is so good. It's a weird and noisy non-dancey set — it's got all the elements, just deconstructed to sound and feeling. Not in a "deconstructed club" way, more a sound art way. It's thrilling. Beats kick in after about half an hour, a strange release after a confusing body of noise. Even then it's more cerebral than physical. Towards the end it rises furiously in tempo, losing all sense of coherence for blistering cacophony.

Hainbach - I Want To Fade Like Magnetic Tape, Disappearing In A Wash Of Noise And Fantastic Distortions
What a title. I mean, you can't be shocked when it's some woozy hazy ambient. Sigh.

DSS 011 | Border One
Sad languid space music. An hour thereof.

Elsa M'bala - Eding í ne
A gorgeous lilting instrumental track from Cameroon artist Els M'bala. Comes from a SoundCloud single (I think), the other track features deft beats and weird vocals.

fourhexagons - Dream Suite: A Manifestation Manual
More spacey ambient! I just can't get enough! Seriously, it's soothing and beautiful and helps me get through the day.

begin - BIRDS OF STRETFORD
I was stumbling through some old favourites and found this absolute jam that Call Super played in his RA pod (seeing him play on Sunday! w00t!). There's a rake of stuff on this guy's SC, but I'll leave you with this relatively recent track, a soft and gentle wash of sound with some local birds on top.
