I say the Friday before Easter was not good. How's your fake Bank Holiday? I get to see Galcher on Sunday. What are your plans?

Jordan GCZ - Crybaby J // Magic Mountain High - Tiny Breadcrumbs
It's Record Store Day tomorrow (Boo! Yay! Hiss! depending on your POV) and Jordan Czamanski aka Jordan GCZ aka the latter half of Juju & Jordash has decided to put two of his Off Minor releases on Bandcamp. It's a nice move, for people who can't afford the shipping on vinyl. "At first I thought I would just make the files available for any price you want to pay, but then I found out that that service on Bandcamp is limited to 200 downloads, so I just put prices that made sense to me." €3 for Crybaby J, €6 for Tiny Breadcrumbs - it's hard to argue with that. Oh yeah and the music. Marvelously gloopy house music, as you'd expect from all involved. Thumbs up.
Equal Stones - Transgression
Ambient exploration from a Dutch producer on a Ukrainian label. "Chaos" and "sonic turmoil" abound.
Vactor - Vactor
Wild techno weirdness from Ivy Barkakati and Arnau Sala Saez. It's from 2012 but after selling out two rounds of tapes they've got a run of CDRs available. It's part electro, part spoken-word noodle, part techno sludge mixed with meandering trumpets.
Andrew Broder - Visinvisible
I read about this lad on Sonic Router and was completely sold by Oli's earnest and emotive storytelling. The music itself is no less intriguing, two 20-minute sequences of drone and experimental flurries. Also, it's $1.99 (or $7.50 [excl shipping] if you want a tape). I think this is the first time I've talked about cost in Bandcloud. Is that weird for you? At the end of the day, I guess I'm trying to encourage you to spend money on music, I mean that's the great thing about Bandcamp, you can stream it and then (in most cases) pay what you want #truismalert. I guess we should all be aware of market forces, yadda yadda.

Allison Chanic - Painlessly In Love
I don't like sharing clips but these are all five minutes each so it's okay.... Weirdly dark techno ambient stuff, slightly gothic and shoegazey even? Hard to pin down. The Lakker remix is incredible too.
MIXED BY Loops Haunt
Don't let the rogue #scuwop track throw you off - this is a very good mix.
CTRL37: tshima - . - - [LET'S MAKE OUR OWN GIRL] - - .
16 minutes of odd crunched-up weirdness.
GETME! Guest Mix 80 : Giganta
Giganta again. The mixing isn't great, but who cares when the whole thing is so refreshingly vital. Electro, Japanese pop, Greek electronica, Arca - it's a mixed bag, all of it exciting.
FSQ Mix Session 014 - MAWKUS
Mawkus in the mix, all funk and soul and groove. The In Flagranti remix of 'Who's There' makes a welcome appearance as does some delectably funky Pépé Bradock (not 'Deep Burnt'). Summer fun.
Work It Girls' Classics Mix
This is ridiculous. SO MANY JAMS. This is like, my teen years in one awesome mix. I could list the seminal hits from the tracklist but that'd be almost everything that's on it. All together now: "What's luuuuv, got to do, got to do with.. it."
mamacita - no eres tú (demo 1)
This is a real gem. It's like 80s Madonna meets Hercules and Love Affair and gets remixed by The Juan MacLean. It really reminds me of the Danny Tenaglia Ballroom mix of The Daou's 'Surrender Yourself'. GLORIOUS. As you can see it's from 2011 but it's only coming out now on Huntleys + Palmers. It's got a wicked remix that's even more Tenaglia-esque by Ana Helder. JAAAAAM.

Finally, for the day that's in it, and because I haven't included a "classic" in some time, check this out... Why? - Good Friday (Boards of Canada Remix)
Happy Easter!
All the best,
Aidan
