I won't lie. I started this today. So apologies if it seems a bit cobbled together.

Zemi17 - Impressions EP
The Bunker is a cult New York party that started putting out records this year. They've had a busy year and their latest release is The Impressions EP, from Brooklyn sound artist Zemi17. It's made up of two lengthy techno jams, but most interestingly (for me) they're "made entirely of sounds of insects, birds, motors and urban noises spliced together with treated samples of gongs and metallophones to create lush techno compositions". They bang pretty hard, so it's not just a hollow conceit.
Kate Ellis - Jump
Kate Ellis, contemporary cellist and artistic director of Ireland's Crash Ensemble, performs five new pieces for solo cello and electronics. It's quite a blissful record at times, part alien wonder and part expansive beauty.
VA - Industry (Hel Audio)
You may remember Matt Nida's Explorer release some time back. It came out on the Utah-based Hel Audio, who have assembled a collection of tracks by artists from the area. Electro jams and techno plods, it's a diverse bunch. Jordan Swain's 'Tusks' really jumped out to me, with its mechanical swagger and muted horns.
Sister O.M. Terrell - Sister O.M. Terrell
Archive label Death Is Not The End established itself earlier this year with two tapes of prison-sung music from the 40s and 50s. This collection focuses on Sister O.M. Terrell, a self-taught guitarist who composed and sang her own singular style of gospel, and it's made up of eight short tracks of thrilling twanged guitar and to-the-point spiritual guidance.

(Visible Cloaks) - Music Interiors
Wow at this one. It's a year old but whatever, it's a gorgeous collection of Japanese ambient and new-age instrumentals, "mostly emanating from the corporate infrastructure of the 1980s asset bubble". Drift away to heaven. PS if anyone already has this and can furnish one with a download (it was briefly available for same this week) hit me up.
Paperpenguin - A.D.H.D.
Paperpenguin is a young Irish artist with a vaguely mysterious Twitter presence. This release on Tokei Pul blends the LA beat sound with a bizarre electronic nightmare vision - especially the all-too-weird judder of 'Panadol'.
wonj - melanj
Just before last week's BC went out Wonja put up this mix, I will gladly feature her two weeks in a row because this is great. Monastic chant, thrilling electro, Linda Perhacs and then this masterful blend built around Bluntman Deejay's 'Astat (Real)'. Arf.
Orlando Volcano LFTF Mix
Maybe this is their purpose, but every time I think of LFTF it calls to mind 'Machine Gun Funk'. Anyway. My man Orlando done did them a short mix of party jams and club music. Bangin'.
Dexter Industries "Catholic Mysticism" Exoteric Continent Remix
Muted vocals, rattling march-like percussion, ominous drone, it's a perfect storm ofGame of Thrones-esque wonder.
Juno Plus Staff Mix Vol. 3: Scott Wilson
In which Scott Wilson goes HAM with mutant club constructions. Buk and indeed buk. Grime and techno and footwork and post-whatever, it's thoroughly enlivening and will have you screwfacing wherever you may be.
Celebrine & Alien Delon - Beauty Of The Rhythm EP
I love the name Alien Delon so much I'd probably just share this and be done with it. Sadly, I'm not 100pc won over by the original track here. It's not without its charms - the 80s synthpop swagger, the vocalist's deep affect - but it's not great. Fear not, there's a wonderful Legowelt remix that really gets into the groove.
Aphex Twin - minipops 67 [120.2][source Field Mix]
Sometimes I forget that I'm probably more glued to the social media machine than most (I'm not saying it like it's a good thing, believe me) so when I feel like a track has been everywhere I should remember that not everyone will have seen it. I'm reminded of this when I have face-to-face conversations about Bandcloud, the tracks people single out are never what I will expect them to note. That said, while the Aphex Twin campaign has been unmissable, it would be remiss of me not to include this one. Not really going to comment - there'll be SO MUCH of that in the coming weeks and months that I don't really feel the need to add to that noise. All I'll say is that these not-quite vocals are making me smile.

Leaving you with this one, The Juan MacLean's evergreen 'Happy House'. You're the reason for the width of my smile.
All the best,
Aidan
