Hey y'all. Sorry this one's a bit late. I'm pretty happy with it though, I hope you enjoy it too. I made a point yesterday that I didn't have enough music made by women in my prep work so I went on the hunt and found some really great stuff. It's not all entirely brand new but I hope it's new to you.

Diane Valence - Marion Vizenta
I don't know anything about this character, she seems only to have two extant tracks, both of which appear on her Soundcloud and Bandcamp (available to purchase for $1,000). This one is sublime, crackling fuzz, far-off winds, chords that are barely there. And it's nine minutes long.
Austin Cesear - West Side (mini-LP)
Okay no clips today (Friday) but it's out Monday (September 29) so hang tight - really excellent release on Public Information from Austin Cesear (never not hating that spelling). Sounds like 90s techno played at sunset on an abandoned beach. Really gloopy and sad and gorgeous. 'La Paloma' and 'Easy Bend' remind me of Dennis DeSantis, 'Aint It So (Necessary)' is so wonderfully unsettling, its simple loops unfurling for what seems like an eternity. Soundcloud clips here if you can't wait.
Negra Branca - Beira Beira
Part of a set on Tesla Tapes, this one features brilliant snarling percussion and distorted vocals alongside a kind of unplaceable traditional melody. Gorgeously haunting.

Tanya Tagaq - Uja
You may have heard of Tanya Tagaq, she was recently awarded Canada's Polaris Music Prize for her album Animism, ahead of such luminaries as Drake, Jessy Lanza and previous winners Arcade Fire and Owen Pallett. Tagaq is an Inuk throat singer from Victoria Island, in the northern part of the country. This track is my introduction to her and I can't stop listening to it. It's a fascinating mixture of studio-friendly modern music and her own brilliantly rendered vocals. I can't wait to delve more into her work. Watch her perform the song live at the Polaris ceremony here.
D. Tiffany - Smudge EP [snips]
Aptly named - a tape of murky smudged beats and bleeps. Reconstituted 'Think' breaks and all. CACAO_ seems cool, I downloaded Teresa Winter's tape but life got in the way.
Teresa Winter - Not even
Monaural Mix 02 - Teresa Winter
Speaking of Teresa Winter... Fuzzy electronics meet childlike vocal samples, wistful gurglings. She's also done a mix for Monaural - "Genreless music for a genreless experience for genreless people" - that's all similarly fuzzy drone stuff, emo electronic torch songs, muted distorted hip-hop.
Joane Skyler - Lakmir
Smudged, emotive electronics that float along like hazy sunshine.
Call Super Boiler Room London 3 Hour DJ Set
Three hours of Call Super. Need I say more? He plays Galcher (aka Road Hog) and Gaz Nevada. And loads of other music. Tip!
Nadia Khan ~ - it's nothing
One beautifully heartfelt minute of playful melodies.
ReubenSon - Sensual Square
Originally released on cassette in 2010 (before the current vogue for #tapes), this track is eleven minutes of quiet noise, found sound and haunting guitar melodies.
Silf - Damn Bwoy
Haus. Deep and lilting and vibey.
Baka Gaijin Podcast 016 by Violet
Can't say I know much (anything) about Baka Gaijin, but Violet is good people. Here's a mix she did for the collective. 80s synth-pop jams and grooves and chunky techno.
Electronic Explorations - 337 - Bruce [Dnuos Ytivil / Hessle Audio]
Whenever I see Dnuos Ytivil I see Donuts. I also imagine Bruce there laughing at this cognitive tic. This mix BANGS. SO. HARD. Really amps me up in a positive way.
Blowing Up The Workshop 32 - Minor Science
This is a beautifully harrowing mix from Minor Science. "first in a series. Id on request. Minorscienceminorscience@gmail.Com" Can't wait for more!

Okay! There's a lot here actually. Something for everyone. No, not at all, but I'm okay with that. For the next two weeks I leave you in the capable hands of the Bandcloud team, so please be kind and welcoming to my good friends.
With love,
Aidan
