Hey all. Today we have more spoopy jams, creepy folk, slick house and pop garage.

Katie Gately - Hymncycle
I feel like I'm cheating here but this is a remix Katie Gately did last year that I didn't know existed. I read about it in a brilliant interview with David McNamee of Blue Tapes at The Quietus. The first music he heard of Gately's was a remix she had done for an act called Schemawound. Apparently she didn't even know what a remix was at the time. "[R]ather than supplying a conventional reinterpretation of a track, she instead sang the titles of all the tracks on the album and manipulated them - making that into the track." Which is pretty fascinating, right? But also sounds great.
CHRONONAUTZ - PUBLIC DOMAIN FUCKOVER SERIES #-2
The lads go HAM with their gear. All performed and recorded live.
Magpahi - Six Songs
I found Magpahi through this ridiculously good tape I got from Folklore Tapes (check it outhere). I couldn't find the great 'Derwen Adwy'r Meirwon' (itself the Welsh for the oak at the gate of the dead?! Fantastic) but this is a track, or rather set of tracks, that she contributed toDevon Folklore Tapes Vo.V - Rituals & Practices in 2012. Quite beautiful and haunting.
XOSAR - PSYCHICK JUSTICE
Halloween is over, I know, but here are more spoopy jams from Queen of Darkness Xosar.

Imprint: 100% Lobster Theremin label mix by Asquith
I've been raving about Lobster Theremin since they went from being a new label with some quite good releases to an established label with an unbroken string of killer releases. Here Jimmy Asquith throws down an hour of jams from the label's present and future. No download, but you can't have everything.
Olivia Louise - Physical (DJ Q Remix)
DJ Q produced the original track, a gentler pop number, but this is his full-on garage rework. There's a little riff in there that's straight out of Hardrive's 'Deep Inside' that I love.
Move D - Willenlos (KM20 TAPES VOLUME 2, OFF MINOR RECORDINGS, 2014)
Last year Off Minor put out The KM-20 Tapes, a collection of five Move D tracks recorded in the mid-90s. This is the first taste of the second release in that series. It's a lot cleaner and, I guess, straightforward than the last set, but it's still ace. And it's 12 minutes long.
Mr Beatnick - Ice Cream Strut
What a title! Mr Beatnick is a don. The best word to describe his take on house is sumptuous. That's just what it is. This is from his forthcoming release on Tief, and the only complaint is that it dropped in November. This cries out for blazing sunshine.
Yamaneko - Noises In the Wave Wires Like The Kissing Of The Sea (ft. Rimplton) [from LOCLP005]
You're just not ready for the Yamaneko album. It's like a tall glass of digital manna - for me it sounds like it was created on instruments that don't exist, it reminds me of those robo-dog's in Jeff Noon's Vurt. Anyway. Get to know, etc.
Juno Plus Podcast 99: Sophia Loizou
You probably knew this was coming. Sophia Loizou released an excellent record onAstro:Dynamics a little while back, and here she's crafted a sonically crushing mix for Juno Plus. Who will be behind number 100???
Monto - Worlds Apart
Sampling Laurie Spiegel - sacrilege? Or perfectly in tune with her expanding universe? Whatever. Monto takes a segment from Spiegel's Patchwork and throws it over a dusty hip-hop beat. I dig it.
NE165: Gudrun Gut
Gudrun Gut puts together a mix for Self-Titled to coincide with her new work 500m alongside Faust co-founder Hans Joachim Irmler. It features work they've done separately as well as a host of other inspirations. Moondog anyone? And even a remix by Gut of Bandcloud favourite Lucrecia Dalt.

Hope you enjoy these tunes.
All the best,
Aidan
