Hi guys. Apparently SoundCloud are performing maintenance right now. Keep on coming back to Bandcloud over the weekend so.

Mikael Seifu - Yarada Lij EP
Someone tweeted about the P4P0 Addis Ababa project and that's how I discovered Mikael Seifu. The Ethiopian producer studied in France as a child and New Jersey as an adult, and adds this international approach to his music. Techno, garage and Ethiopian folk all come together in seamless fashion - 'Drkness Iz' is a highlight.
Silas + Hodges + Lyons - The Silent Citadel (waag_rel033)
This isn't new but they ask that you share the word if you download it, so that's what I'm doing. "Vivid ambient soundscapes," they call it, and I can't do better. It drifts by as a fitting soundtrack to life. And isn't We Are All Ghosts a wonderful name for a label? Loads of new stuff to dig too.
Maarja Nuut - Soolo
UK label FatCat shared an eight-track sampler of acts playing at a showcase during Tallinn Music Week later this month. The artist that really stood out to me was singer and violinist Maarja Nuut. Her website says she "is fascinated by the tunes of old village musicians and mind-boggling but at the same time structured patterns", and this is clear from the music she creates. This is her debut album, from 2013, and it's full of folk melodies rendered modern by her furious looping.
Tangents Series #01: TVO & Paul Purgas - LiveGlasgow040414
This is a recording of a collaborative performance between TVO and Paul Purgas of Emptyset last year. It starts off all crackly fuzz, builds into some non-beats, then finishes with a brief flourish of gorgeous synths. Heavy/heady.
Caribou - Mars (Head High's Core Remix)
*Hands up* Believe it or not, sometimes I can be a hater. So it pains me to say that this isgreat. I'm not sure how much of this track is Caribou and how much is remix, but Head High's drums are always great and that's what really got me here.
Marie Davidson - Excès De Vitesse
This is sleazy and dirty and nasty. Too modern and throbbing to be giallo, its spine-tingling nonetheless.
Dorian Concept - 'Ann River' (Kuedo Remix)
New Kuedo! Dank, cavernous echoes, discordant synths (seriously, don't they sound a teeny bit off?), it's masterful.
Kara-Lis Coverdale - Touch Me & Die
Kara-Lis Coverdale featured last year with her excellent A 480, and this is something of a departure - it's somewhere in the vein of d'Eon or OPN, hints of Eastern melody dancing about beautiful flute lines. And what a title, which darkly undercuts its charming melodies.
Ellll - Runnel [Barbra]
Ellll dropped this on International Women's Day. More banging than some stuff we've heard from her before, but just as excellent.

It's St Patrick's Day on Tuesday. Enjoy it, friends.
All the best,
