Hello!
Normally this newsletter hits your inbox quite early in the morning, turns out I'm a night owl and this is a bit like morning for me. It is a pleasure to take over Bandcloud while Aidan is on a vacation and I hope that you enjoy this week's selection, everything included on it at some point has made my day (or my night) :-)

This was released a bit more than 10 years ago on a label called Orthlorng Musork which specialized on computer music, clicks and cuts and glitchy sounds and that's what you'll find in this album by AGF. She describes herself as a poem producer and she is totally right. Her (lovely) voice and the lyrics are the total protagonists of the songs. It's well worth also to have a look at the rest of her catalog.

I have to admit that I'm a sucker for old pop hits. The "borderline version" of "Small Town Boy" (originally recorded by Jimmy Sommerville, for those who are too young to remember) was what first caught my attention. The rest of the pieces are made of noise of the beautiful kind, field recordings and familiar sounds that take you places (just like old pop hits)

I hate choosing and I like Equpo Humano Uno. Since I couldn’t decide wether to recommend letitbe or Nemad Mufor, I choose both. On letitbe you’ll find a thread of songs that barely last a minute, on Nemad Mufor two long pieces made to fit a side A and a side B of a cassette.

Broshuda and Giganta's "Gardens" get a second round of reinterpretations joining together once again a really fantastic group of producers and musicians all of them very active agents in the Bandcamp ecosystem.

Carmine seems so simple and yet it must be so complicated to get every single element to fit the right place... it is my favorite song of the moment without the shadow of a doubt.

This is possibly cheating because this file is not a mix nor a song. This is radio done in a musical way. Love & Radio is one of the finest podcasts around, they tell great stories using music production techniques. They also have an eye for choosing stellar interviewees like Genesis P.Orridge for this one.

The I’m a Cliché edit service comes to your inbox every two weeks and it’s well worth it. Artists like Red Axes, Lokier, I:Cube and many others breathe new life (and sometimes dignity) into obscure tracks and hits alike.

Giallo and hip hop. About time that Niño goes from well kept secret to world wide known superstar.

This has just popped up on my SoundCloud feed. Dusty and moody, just how I like it.
