Hey. Could genuinely probably have given about 19 Bandcamp links this week. I won't though, I'll restrain myself.

Tootoosis - Ghosts
Not much info here, save that this new(ish) label is run by Henry Collins. This tape is a spectral collection of short vignettes, all deeply atmospheric.
Various Artists - New Labour (Opal Tapes)
Wide-ranging compilation from Opal Tapes, particularly blissful and mournful highlights coming from Perfume Advert, Anxiety Support Group, Russell E. L. Butler and Satin Doll. Lots of ear-splitting noise from the likes of Shelley Parker and Ñaka Ñaka too.
SLOOM - Mix Tape #1
Power Moves put out two tapes this week, one from The Mic'd Time-Scene and one from SLOOM. SLOOM's really caught my ear, with its stop-start movements from ambience to techno and back again. True to its title I suppose.
Autumn of Pækward - Iktsuarpok
This came out last August, but it came to my attention this week when it landed in stock at Norman. Of course I went and googled, and here it is for pay-what-you-will. Really blissful, with an occasional peppering of angry spoken word/samples. Because life is full of constant interruptions.
HL Collins - Creating Friction Side 1 Track 2
I mentioned Henry Collins above — he's also got a tape out on Third Kind, and this is a snippet taken from that. The release comes in individually painted boxset with two cassettes, a piezo, some friction tape (of course) and three photo cards. The music is dank and immersive, clanking objects rattling and shaking to great effect.
porysowane płyty - ttaappeess
Bandcloud catnip right here, as this mix draws together some recent favourites from the likes of Ondness, Nadia Khan, Morkebla and more. Mmmmmm.
Björk - family (remix by katie gately)
Can't not share this really?? Katie remixes Björk. And yea, it was good.
Pedro Vian - Cops De Cap (Pye Corner Audio Remix)
Gazing out at far-off landscapes from high-up promontories on sun-scorched afternoons, one hears this playing in the background. As day turns to night, parties unfold and life pauses, if only briefly.
katecarr - The fence on the way to a castle surrounded by gorse
I haven't shared any sound art like this — or indeed any work from Kate Carr — in a while, but the title really got me. And it sounds great.
❑thousand island❒ - Regress
thousand island used to be known as Hidden Cat. He's now known as thousand island (with those lil' square things I guess). This is a dope track with snarling kicks but a healthy dose of playfulness.
Arta (Ana Gutieszca) - Vixen's maneuver
THIS snarls though. It's part of an installation called Sound of Beasts that combines sound and image, in which Ana Gutieszca pits her own drastic sound art against drawings from one of her previous works, entitled Derrida's Bestiary. It's taking place in Mänttä, Finland, from Sunday until the end of August.
Kid Sister - Damn Girl
Been reminiscing a lot lately. This track is joyful and a bit silly, and uses a sweet sound byte from Too $hort's guest spot on Kelis's 'Bossy' as its chorus. What ever happened to Kid Sister, etc.

All Bandcloud mixes are now on Mixcloud too now!
All the best,
