Wonderfully odd release from Missy Mazzoli, a reimagining of traditional vespers services. Not for everyone, sure, but if operatic vocals, lush instrumentation and religious rites turned on their head sound to you like a good combo, then dive in.

Fieldhead - Vancouver 2--2

More languid electronics, a lengthy performance from 2012 cut into pieces because Bandcamp apparently won't allow for two-hour tracks. Hmm. Paul Elam and Elaine Reynolds provide the goodness in any track designation. 

MetaDronos - Teretotutel
Polish producer MetaDronos has responded to an online dare to create work inspired by images. See the glorious kaleidoscopic work above for its origin. Be warned, gorgeous as it is, the download in SoundCloud is a flac. 

Blondes - Rein
Blondes hit out with a lengthy piece for cassette, a precursor to their next album, recorded during a lost weekend. Is a lost weekend ever really lost, especially when it leads to glory such as this?

Dublin's man with his heart in New York drops a sneaky electro cut. Groovy.

BrokenThree - Live At The Outer Church
I listened to this twice in a row when I first got it. It's a live improv performance from BrokenThree, a collaborative effort from Erstlaub, Production Unit and TVO. Erstlaub provides the drone, TVO brings beats and chaotic rhythm , while Production Unit brings meandering melody and synth bleeps. It's a marvel.

Shanti Celeste - Lumi
Total banger from Shanti. As one should expect.

Exoteric Continent - Autoritat
Arnau Sala has a new record out on Dom Guwop's Hospital Productions, it's called Referèndumand it comes on blue vinyl. Whatever you think of coloured vinyl, the track has humour, edge and heft.
