Hi! This is Wonja, back again with another guest installment of Bandcloud. Hope you enjoy!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DaiKyoFuroShiki - YUU
This 'free music' collaboration between two New York artists features vocal manipulations and saxophone wailing. The subdued cacophony is somehow calming, bringing to mind a temple procession in a forest of noise.
Adra - Fear is the Mind Killer
Airtight yet spacious techno EP from San Francisco's Alandria Sheffer that refuses to quit.Drawing inspiration from Dune and the Mission district, it also features also a remix from Matrixxman (p.s., they're both featured among others in this feature on the Bay Area'selectronic music scene)
RM - Involve
A+ noisy industrial rhythms from Italian label Cemento. I keep coming back to this one.
Cathode Ray Tube - Exodus Partners
Atmospheric techno diversions out of Portland, Maine. "LISTEN LOUDER: VOLUME CLARIFIES"
Bromp Treb - Stickless Sharkless Bagless
Crisp minimal noise and processed field recordings from Neil Young Cloaca and anonymous mockingbird.
Anthony Child - All Around And Inside
Really wonderful new track from Anthony Child aka Surgeon's upcoming album on Editions Mego, 'Electronic Recordings from Maui Jungle Vol. 1'. The sounds of the Hawaiian jungle form a backdrop to flutelike tones and fuzzed synth lines. Very much looking forward to hearing more.
NTS Radio's 'Unthinkable' w T⚾LE, Malibu + J.G.Biberkopf September 4 mix
On the September edition of his 'Unthinkable' radio show on NTS, J.G. Biberkopf provides a short mix featuring tracks from Robert Ashley, EVOL, and Why Be, bookended by two guest mixes: ASMR and soundscapes from T⚾LE, and interpreted dancehall from Malibu. (The monthly show is also accompanied by a short but flowery text from art/culture website aqnb, if you're into that.)
White Car - Prince Regis
Elon Katz aka White Car gives us this highly enjoyable edit. In his words, "You can figure it out..."
Bambu - An Assortment of Sorbets
A minimix of supremely listenable joints ranging from balearic to soca, brought to you by graphic designer/artist Nicole Ginelli and Brandon Boom of The-Drum.
Abdulla Rashim - Crossing Qalandia / A Shell of Speed
If it's been hot where you are this week, cool down with these tracks from dub techno stalwart Abdulla Rashim's album due out next month on Northern Electronics.
No Bad Days w/ Hollick & Project Pablo - 3rd September 2015
A two hour Radar Radio session full of chillers from "No Bad Days" DJ Hollick with guest Project Pablo. Good for a Sunday listen.
